Jim Hughes

CEO: Chief Executive Officer
Started with SRI in 2015 after serving several years as a SRI board member.
Background
Beginning with an Engineering Degree from Western Michigan providing a foundation to mind the important details and later a University of Chicago Booth Executive Program to provide a leadership base and general management guidance, I enjoyed a 32-year career with Johnson Controls Inc. Automotive and Building Efficiency Groups. The last 15 years in executive leadership positions including Vice President General Manager Global Customer Business Units, turnaround projects & various manufacturing leadership positions.

Looking forward
My focus is understanding our changing customers’ needs and how SRI can provide the highest level of service for them. Our internal team is important as well, our company is as strong as its team members. We have a great team here at SRI with extensive delinquent property tax collection experience, all focused on using that experience to serve our clients.

My current interest, is where do we go from here? Historically SRI has provided cradle to grave tax lien sale services for Indiana County’s, I believe we need a more sustainable business model going forward in order to meet the long-term needs of our customer and team members. Indiana tax lien sales is the foundation of SRI’s business and we remain committed to providing that service. My goal is for SRI to serve our customers for many years to come, to achieve that, we need to provide additional services for Indiana counties, other local governments and to local governments in other states. This will create the diversity needed to weather the natural ups and downs created by legislative changes and the economy in general. That diversity will provide the sustainability to service our customers for years to come.

Favorite thing about SRI? The close relationship we have with counties and clients.  They show more appreciation for the support we provide them than any clients/customers I have worked with in my 40 career.
